Residential Services Radiant Floor Heating Systems At Stark's, Inc., our goal is provide the highest quality in-floor radiant heat systems available, using only the finest materials from known and trusted manufacturers. We want to ensure your comfort! • Professional engineering based on experience from over 100 completed jobs. • Our systems use only Wirsbo brand radiant pex pipe. While some manufacturers use chemicals, or electricity, or even artificial colors in the pex pipe they make, Wirsbo uses the best quality virgin polyethylene resin. • Our Wirsbo brand pipe has an oxygen barrier to ensure that no oxidation can occur to corrode or degrade any ferrous-bodied equipment used in the system (ie: circulating pumps, boilers, etc.). Many contractors will use plumbing-grade pex pipe in their systems to cut costs, and only the trained eye can tell the difference. Sure, we could use cheaper pipe, but when you are talking about a product that will be embedded in your concrete, don't you want the best? • Our Wirsbo brand distribution manifolds are constructed of solid brass-instead of plastic or copper, ensuring a lifetime of trouble-free service. Also, when engineering your system, we will often recommend set-point controls with slab sensors instead of typical thermostats. Set-point controls monitor the floor temperature instead of air temperature at chest height (thermostat). Because of this, the set point controls can efficiently maintain room temperature without great fluctuations. This translates to shorter operational time on heating equipment, more efficient use of energy, and a greater comfort factor. In truth, thermostats are cheaper and easier to install, but "cheap" and "easy" are not words we want associated with your radiant system.
